Thanksgiving Weekend

We had a great Thanksgiving weekend, the break from school was great. On Wednesday we headed up to Uncle Mike's in Nebraska and introduced Robbie to some good old fashioned Keno. He actually brought some good luck to the group as no one lost any money, usually losing money is a guarantee.

On Thursday, everyone pigged out on a great Thanksgiving dinner, thank you Sondra for making such a great meal. We headed home Thursday night because Robbie was not feeling great. We took him to the doctor on Friday morning and the pediatrician gave us a stronger antibiotic to hopefully get rid of this congestion and mucous that is really stuffing him up. We need him to be clear of anything before surgery.

On both Saturday and Sunday I took Robbie with me to our open gyms and he really seemed to enjoy watching the girls shoot baskets and loved rolling the basketball around the floor. We need to get him used to the sounds of buzzers and whistles though. Saturday night he wasn't a fan of the loud buzzer at the Missouri Western girls game. Saree was able to see all the girls from last year and talk to all of them after their big win. Robbie was such a trooper that night, considering he was up way past his normal bedtime.

Tonight marks the first basketball game for Saree as a high school coach. They play at 7:00 p.m. in the Savannah Tournament, so Robbie and I will be hanging out like some bachelors tonight.

Family Pictures

Here are some pictures of the family.

6 Months Old

On Wednesday Robbie turned 6 months old. It is hard to believe that it has been that long ago that we were blessed with such a sweet little boy. Even though we have had our share of issues, we wouldn't change a thing because of how strong Robbie is and how much stronger he has made us.

Mimi was here last week and were able to get some good pictures of Robbie and the family, despite it being a little cool outside. Robbie is just growing up so fast and getting such a great personality. He is up on all fours now and is rocking, just waiting to take that first step and get crawling. He has figured out how to roll all across the room to get where he needs to though.

Mimi Was Here

Robbie was so excited this past weekend because Mimi made the trip from New Jersey to come hang out with him for a few days. She flew in on Wednesday evening and was able to hang out with Robbie all day Thursday and with Robbie and Mom all day Friday. Over the weekend we all spent a lot of time shopping for things for the house, which we didn't buy, but were all together and Robbie had a great time. Sunday morning we were able to get out and get some good pictures of Robbie and we will be getting these on the blog as soon as Mimi emails them to us. Here is a video of Robbie and Mimi in the airport last night.

Cincinnati Update

We are still in the middle of moving and unpacking so sorry about the lack of updates and pictures. We are also still taking pictures with our phones since we can't find our camera charger, so sorry about the expressions on his face in some the pictures.
We received our itinerary from Cincinnati Children's Hospital and we head out there on Thursday, Dec. 9th for Robbie to get a battery of tests to see what they will be able to do in the surgery. We then hang out there for a few days before he gets admitted on Sunday, Dec. 12th. The surgery is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 13th at a time to be determined and the recovery is anywhere from 3-5 days. We are hoping to be home by the weekend. We then have his post-op follow-up visit on Wednesday, Dec. 29th. That is the schedule we have right now and I don't think anything will change from now until then. Saree and I are trying to get ourselves ready for another round of surgery and the thought of Robbie having to go through all of that again. We have just been raising a little boy the last 4 months that has a few minor differences in changing him, and to think about surgery again is really tough.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Here are a few pictures from yesterday and our little bumble bee. He was just a little too big for the outfit so he only wore it for about 45 minutes, but did a great job of answering the door when Trick or Treaters came by the house.
